The Peace I Found on My Self-Care Day
Share
Monday Self-Care with Dufme609
There was nothing extravagant about my self-care day.
No spa appointment.
No expensive getaway.
No elaborate plans.
Instead, I gave myself something even more valuable: permission to slow down.
As I continue this journey, I've noticed something changing—not just in my life, but in how I care for myself. My wardrobe has shifted from workout clothes to jeans, and now I find myself reaching for natural fabrics like cotton and linen. They feel lighter, breathe easier, and simply feel better against my skin.
It's more than comfort.
It's becoming intentional.
I've learned that what we surround ourselves with matters. The things we wear, the spaces we create, the moments we protect—they all influence how we feel. Self-care isn't only about what we do. It's also about what we choose to welcome into our lives.
For me, self-care looks like taking a peaceful walk, enjoying a quiet moment with my pets, listening to my body, resting without guilt, and choosing what brings me peace instead of pressure.
Years ago, I thought self-care was something you earned after working hard enough.
Today, I understand it differently.
Self-care is one of the ways we honor ourselves while we're still becoming.
Every small decision is a reminder that we are worthy of care today—not someday.
So today, I invite you to ask yourself one simple question:
What is one small thing you can do today that brings your mind, body, or spirit a little more peace?
It doesn't have to be perfect.
It just has to be for you.

I created this outlet because I know many people don’t like Monday’s. I really did not use to like them either. Now its different. I look forward to every Monday. I will add words of wisdom or just some things I happen to see. Nothing is scripted here. It is what it is and that’s exactly the way I like it! It maybe a few funny notes or a serious conversation depending on how the Monday goes! You won’t believe some of the things I come across on a Monday. I hope you will enjoy this session on your Monday whether it’s early or late in the day. Please share your Monday here. You may have similar or a completely different one. lol Thank you again!
